F-5 Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor (Manager Product Support1)

Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one integrated support element, including systems analysis, spares, provisioning, technical data, training maintenance or modifications, support equipment and facilities.

Location: Key West, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Will act as the Maintenance Manager in the absence of that manager.
  • Develops and executes the monthly maintenance plan.
  • Responsible for accomplishment of the daily flight schedule and meeting all the maintenance metrics of the contract.
  • Assign and direct the productive efforts of assigned personnel to ensure the timely completion of all scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
  • Coordinate all maintenance efforts with other affected work centers.
  • Authorize cannibalization actions as required.
  • Instruct assigned employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures as required.
  • Responsible for the satisfactory completion of assigned work and the preparation and maintenance of required records.
  • Formulate necessary reports to the Maintenance and Site Manager
  • Ensure that good housekeeping practices are observed, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
  • Assist in training programs as required for employees assigned to him/her.
  • Work with Quality Control Supervisor to ensure required quality control inspections are compliant.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  • May be required to perform computer input functions pertaining to NALCOMIS/OOMA.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Assist as directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government/Company-owned equipment.
  • Perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
  • Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
  • Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all job assignments. Shall maintain discipline by counsel and reprimand when necessary. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge and experience to solve complex problems. Ensure safe, quality maintenance/flight line operations to support the Program flight schedule.
  • Must be able to pass any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • Must have the ability to use good judgment, make sound decisions and effectively direct the work of other employees.
  • Must be customer-oriented.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years experience. Will consider someone with a Bachelor's Degree with 6 years experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience (within the last 20 years) supervising and assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts of workers performing aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modifications.
  • The 10 years’ experience shall include a one-year minimum as a Maintenance or Production Control Supervisor.
  • Experience in working with a staff covered by a union collective bargaining agreement
  • Security Clearance is not required to start but must be able to obtain a Secret Level Clearance within a reasonable amount of time per job function

Note: Shall act as the Assistant Maintenance Officer and Maintenance Material Control Officer for the purpose of fulfilling qualification and programmatic duties IAW

COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (series).

F-5 Aircraft Maintenance/Flightline experience

Knowledge/experience OPNAV 4790.2

Knowledge/experience DCMA INST 8210.1C

Salary Range: $85,400 USD - $128,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
