Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we need you to join our Team as a Shipping Receiving Coordinator 4 and be a part of our growing team of diverse professionals in Lake Charles, La. In this position, you will support our Main Warehousing Operations. 

Your duties will include:

A combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations. Loading, unloading and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks to include high value & heavyweight assets such as aircraft engines. Opens containers using hand tools, performs receiving inspection duties, determine storage locations within the warehouse in a manner that maximizes storage capacity & records information in the inventory system. May be tasked with crate building to a specification to facilitate shipping as well as Haz-Mat duties.

LCPDM

Basic Qualifications: 

1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 5 years of additional education and/or related experience  

2. Ability to organize own work to meet organizational goals

3. Ability to climb ladders and left considerable weight (up to 50lbs) from the floor level and/or overhead

4. Experience with operation of heavy lift forklifts to include transportation of aircraft engines

5. Experience with Haz-Mat shipments

6. Experience with crate building to shipping standards and/or specifications

   

Preferred Qualification:

1. Ability to read Profile Drawings & Understand Basic Latitude of Material Substitutions to Mitigate Constraints

2. Familiarity with Contract Labor Requisitioning, the I-Buy Purchasing System, QQ-A Specs for Alloy and Temper Identification, Vendor Services & SQ Clauses


Salary Range: 46200 - 77000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
