Northrop Grumman is seeking an Operation Intelligence Analyst for the Combat Air Forces Distributed Training Center (CAF DTC). The location of this position is at Langley AFB, VA. The CAF DTC provides daily training scenarios for combat units around the globe against real-world threats in a Virtual battlespace.     

The qualified candidate will facilitate the daily execution of Large Force Employment (LFE) and Small Team Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events for the CAF DTC. The SME must possess an in-depth understanding of the operational intelligence domain for applying air power. The Operation Intelligence Analyst will provide intelligence expertise necessary to effectively coordinate, plan, and debrief the execution of Large Force Employment DMO missions. The Operation Intelligence Analyst will provide in-depth mission detail which allows the warfighters to execute missions with minimal input; thereby maximizing training effectiveness. Finally, the SME will assist in the stand-up of a CAF DTC Intelligence Cell designed to enhance Unit Level Intelligence Training.   

Additional duties may include:

He/she may provide consulting expertise to military and/or defense clients to develop and evaluate military training and doctrine. He/she may provide specialized planning and/or execution expertise in specialized phases of military training exercises--including doctrinal development, scenario development, after action review and data analysis. He/she may assist in designing scenarios and executing unit-level intelligence training associated with DMO events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6 Years’ Experience; Associates Degrees with 4 Years’; Bachelor’s Degree with 2 Years’ Experience
  • Unit Level Fighter, Bomber, or C2ISR Intelligence Analyst Experience
  • Operationally relevant experience within the past 5 years
  • Experience in creating, processing, and distributing technical reports and intelligence analysis 
  • Must currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain to TS/SCI and SAP/SAR

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of adversary threat systems capabilities, behaviors, and tactics (Air, Ground, and Maritime)
  • Understanding of adversary Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) components, structure, and employment, including electronic warfare
  • Experience writing exercise scenarios
  • Familiarity with intelligence tools currently used at the unit-level
  • Experience working with government classified networks and classified handling procedures
  • Possess a DoD Top Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
