Responsible for research, product development and detailed design of space satellite avionic and payload interface subsystem electronics.   Candidate should be experienced in more than one engineering discipline that includes: Power systems, Analog, digital electronic circuit design and PWB layout.     • Support Mechanical Packaging Concepts
  • Electrical Design and Analysis
    • Develop Schematic Diagrams
    • Create Bill of Material (BOM)
    • Index drawing creation
    • Support obsolete part issues
    • Identify preliminary list of long lead items
    • FPGA design (VHDL)
    • Determine Component Dissipations
    • Simulate Relevant Circuit Performance
    • Generate Relevant Deliverable Documentation:
      • Specifications
      • Interface Control Documents
      • FPGA Specification
      • Verification Matrix
      • User’s Manuals
    • Perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis
    • Perform Component Derating Analysis
    • Support Thermal Analysis
    • Support  Mechanical Analysis
    • Support Mechanical Engineering/Packaging
    • Generate Layout Guidelines Document
    • Support PWB design and parts placement
    • Support Design, Customer, Peer and Management Reviews
    • Support Test Engineering:  EGSE Design, Test Methodology
    • Review Test Results
    • Write/Submit Revision Notices
    • Support Manufacturing/Quality
    • Support Prototype design verification Testing
    • Development of test requirements specifications
    • Review all relevant Drawings, Plans, Procedures, Documents, Instructions
    • Perform prototyping

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) related field with a minimum of 14 years related engineering experience OR a Master’s degree with 5 years related engineering experience OR a PhD in STEM.
  • Strong knowledge and design experience in Power, Analog and Digital Electronics
  • Experience working in a Satellite systems or Space environment
  • A U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Electronics Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of space electronic design experience
