Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Staff Flight Simulation Trainer. The location of this position is at Nellis AFB, NV in the Virtual Test & Training Center (VTTC). The qualified candidate will facilitate the daily execution of Large Force Employment (LFE) and small team integration events for the Nellis Mission Operations Network (NMON) and other distributed training events.
Responsibilities include a thorough knowledge of fighter (F-15C, F-15E, F-16C, F-22A and F-35A, F/A-18) employment and training requirements. This position will facilitate the VTTC’s support of USAF Warfare Center (USAF Weapon School, OT&E, Red Flag & Combatant Command exercises) training through scheduling, scenario development, mission materials, brief, event execution, and debrief support for Large Force Employment (LFE) and Small Team events. To accomplish these unit training requirements he/she will develop the executable Computer Generated Forces (CGF) scenarios, mission materials and briefs for the diverse aircrew training audience. The Mission Specialist is the focal point for the execution of the VTTC missions while acting as the white force. He/she will assist the VTTC Mission Director in regulating the flow of timely injects throughout the training event while simultaneously troubleshooting battlespace deficiencies to ensure mission Desired Learning Objectives are achieved.   

  Basic Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years’ experience, 13 years with Masters
• US citizenship required with active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI & SAP eligibility
• Operational experience in F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15C/E or F/A-18 aircraft
• Ability to provide consulting expertise to military and/or defense clients to develop and evaluate military training and
• doctrine
• Thorough knowledge of AFTTP3-1 guidance
• Ability to travel up to 3 weeks at a time to support training events
• Ability to work flexible schedule to support customer schedule

                    Preferred Qualifications:  

• USAF Weapons School OR Navy Top Gun Graduate
• Operationally relevant (combat operations, operational flying assignment, OT&E or USAFWS) rated experience within
• last 10 years (simulator instructor experience may be considered).
• Experience with Combat Air Forces DMO exercises and simulations
• Mission commander experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to provide specialized planning and/or execution expertise in specialized phases of military training exercises
• doctrinal development, scenario development and after action review and mission analysis
