Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) seeks to fill the position of Semiconductor Test Engineer in the Emerging Capabilities Development Group.

The Principal Circuit Design Engineer is responsible for bench level test and verification of System on a Chip (SoC) / Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) / Multi-Chip Module (MCM) devices.  Typical tasks include identifying and evaluating test hardware, designing and debugging package test fixtures, verifying equipment operation and performance, troubleshooting issues, developing test code, documenting test plans and procedures, evaluating test data, training and certification of test technicians, and performing continuous test improvements.  The Principal Circuit Design Engineer will interface with test engineering peers, design engineers, product engineers, and program managers to resolve issues, optimize test accuracy and capability, improve yields and tester throughput, and meet customer needs.  

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with an MS or 0 years with a PhD).

- 3 years of experience in parametric and functional testing of digital devices.

- Experience with Software Language (such as Python or C#) for test suite development and integration of instrumentation and automation.

-Experience with hardware for System Level Test integration and automation for SoCs.

- Good understanding of SPC, design of experiments, and industry standard data analysis software packages.

- Familiarity with set-up and operation of oscilloscopes, source meters, spectrum analyzers, and automated handler equipment.
- Good communication skills.

- Well established problem solving skills.

- Demonstrated understanding of process and product documentation requirements.

- Aptitude for technology development and laboratory work.

- Must have U.S Citizenship


Preferred Qualifications:

 - Familiar with PCB schematic, layout, component placement reviews for test fixtures and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA).
- SOC and ASIC bench level test experience in a production environment.

- Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ex. Advantest 93K/Teradyne J750) and wafer prober (Accretech/Martek) operation.

- Instrument control and data acquisition experience.

- LabVIEW, C#, Perl, Python coding experience.

Salary Range: $96,900 USD - $121,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
