Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Principal Global Supply Chain Finance Planning Specialist to join our team in Linthicum, MD. This position can be PT remote work.


  • Work in coordination with other Supply Chain Planners to track program material costs, accurately forecast material receipts, and create Current Material Estimates (CME)

  • Should be proficient in Earned Value measurement techniques 

  • Responsible for creating a material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value requirements including monthly performance, ETC spreads, variance explanations, and identifying and implementing corrective actions as necessary

  • Responsible for working with other planners, engineers, and program representatives to forecast material costs

  • Responsible for understanding material cost variances and determining root causes and corrective actions for the variances

  • Requires a basic understanding of Supply Chain including reading purchase orders, the processes related to buying and receiving material, target pricing, and MRP

This role will be a hybrid function primarily focused on Supply Chain Finance while also supporting the material planning function on a program within the Resiliency & Advanced Programs (RAP) portfolio within Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) in the Space Sector. 

Program support includes:

  • Managing non-MRP material, processing M922s requests, and working with buyers to analyze quotes, write price justifications and provide sourcing guidance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of related experience; 4 years with a Masters; in lieu of degree, 10 years of experience will be considered

  • Advanced Excel skills are required 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI clearance is preferred

  • Experience with the Material Cost Account Visibility (MCAV) tool is a plus

Salary Range: $80,100 USD - $120,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
