Responsible for contractual execution in support of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Strategic Sourcing organization and the Mission Systems Sector. The team hiring is commonly known as the "SCS team."

The selected candidate will review, analyze, interpret, and draft strategic agreements. Position will require complex negotiations with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems strategic and critical suppliers to establish favorable contractual positions and to settle disputes.

Candidate will liaise with the Law Department, Programs, Supply Chain, and Engineering to foster long and short-term business relationships with our supply base.


Candidate will need to be adaptable and ready and willing to work on long term strategic and risk avoidance and Supply Chain initiatives.

It is preferred that the candidate is located near Linthicum, MD; San Diego, CA; Rolling Meadows, IL or the Woodland Hills, CA facility to allow for a hybrid in office work model. However, for the right candidate, would consider a fully remote position.

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Level:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum of 10 years’ experience in supply chain, contracts, legal support or a related field; 8 years with a Masters, MBA, or J.D. Degree.


- This position requires the ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and individuals. A strong commitment and collaborative approach is paramount. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, presentation and human relations’ skills are required.


- Demonstrated experience in the analysis and negotiation of complex contractual terms and conditions, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- J.D. Degree from an ABA-approved law school or relevant experience in-lieu of a degree.

- Demonstrated ability to take complex concepts and simplify into executable solutions.

- Experience drafting and negotiating complex contractual documents, including, but not limited to, Overriding Agreements on Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Long-Term Supply/Pricing Agreements.

- An ability to think long term and execute on a long-term vision.

- US Government supply chain experience


Salary Range: $102,200 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
