Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services in Linthicum, MD is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented IT Technical Projects Coordinator to join our team of diverse individuals.  The successful candidate will join the Missions Systems Program Management Office, as a technical lead, on the Operations System Services team. This position includes leading and directing one or more project teams in the professional services arena, preparing project execution plans, and coordinating activities between functional groups. It also includes monitoring projects to completion, from initiation through delivery, to meet timeline projections, and providing technical and analytical guidance to project team(s). Additionally, this position entails oversight, support, and coordination of the technical projects for the environment as adoption continues to grow.

 In this position, the chosen candidate will be interacting with internal customers, Operation Systems Support personnel and various functional groups including global supply and business management, as well as external vendors.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for determining objectives of assignments, (including planning timelines and arranging activities to accomplish those approved objectives) formulating plans, making decisions, and overseeing projects that use or plan to use the Engineering Distributed Network (EDN). A variety of projects use this converged network environment, including advanced networking, security, data management, information systems architecture, and large-scale enterprise systems.

Tasks include, but are not limited to, participating in project definition, schedule development, system integration, and providing regular interval project status reports. The chosen candidate will ensure that all resources required to support the project are identified and tracked to achieve schedule and performance requirements and will work toward resolutions to any obstacle which may hinder the successful initiation or completion of the project.  A highly skilled project manager is requested to ensure onboarding tasks are assigned and the project has all of the necessary requirements to onboarding to the EDN successfully.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or other closely related engineering discipline and 14 years of professional experience; 12 years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
  • Ability to lead IT technical projects for complex systems and networks; coordinate activities with other team members and users.
  • Experience working in Agile teams, Scrum, Lean Agile, or Kanban
  • People leadership skills
  • US Citizenship is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tenant or customer experience working on Enterprise Distributed Network
  • Experience or Certification in Agile, Dev*Ops, ITIL, or other industry certifications
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with Atlassian products
  • Experience with cyber security frameworks: RMF, NIST-800-171, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
  • Experience designing, architecting, transforming enterprise level services and applications
  • Knowledge of the Agile scrum methodology
  • Any of the following preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CompTIA Security+, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator


Salary Range: $149,000 USD - $223,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
