Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector, Networked Information Solutions (NIS) Division is seeking a Contracts Administrator (level 2) or Principal Contract Administrator (level 3) to join our team in Linthicum, MD. This position will support the rapidly growing businesses within the Secure Processing Operating Unit. The job assignment is for Northrop Grumman Secure Processors Production programs for multiple customers. You will learn and grow! Come join us!

Responsibilities include the following: Proposals:
  • Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions. 
  • Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.
  • Manage proposal fact-finding and conduct negotiations between customer with support from the program team.
Contract Administration:
  • Establish a good working relationship with customers to administer, modify, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contractual agreements.
  • Oversee contract performance including schedules and deliverables, maintain compliant contractual documentation/correspondence, and collaborate with the program team to recommend and complete actions to ensure satisfactory program performance. 
  • Work with program business management team to closely monitor contract funding and payments.
Overall:
  • Advise your program team of contractual rights and obligations on your assigned contracts, including interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate effectively with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.
  • Ability to effectively interface with customer counterparts via email, telephone, and in-person, when appropriate.
 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Contract Administrator (Level 2): 3 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 1 year related work experience with a Masters or JD degree or 7 years of directly related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Principal Contract Administrator (Level 3): 6 or more years related work experience with a Bachelor's degree; 4 years related work experience with a Masters or JD degree or 10 year of directly related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills 
  • Must be a team player but also have the ability to work independently
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Prior experience with fixed price and cost type contracts, FAR/DFARS, proposals, and/or familiarity with DoD contracting
