This role may be filled as a level 3 or level 4

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Principal Accountant or Senior Principal Accountant  to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position may be located at either Promontory, Utah or Magna, Utah.

This role requires the individual to be co-located to our site for a hybrid schedule.

In this role, the selected candidate will provide accounting support.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze and process accounting entries based on GAAP and Government accounting knowledge for multiple business units.
  • Analyze large volumes of data using worksheet and database skills to manipulate, summarize, and select into meaningful information for decision making.
  • Perform detail analysis and reconciliations for Inventory, Labor, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Prepaids and General Ledger Accounts.
  • Support financial and SOX audits by internal, External, and Government auditors.
  • Provide financial statement information and financial schedules required for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting.

Basic Qualifications for level 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years experience in accounting related field - OR - Master's Degree and 3 years experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, especially Excel.

Basic Qualifications for level 4:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years experience in accounting related field - OR - Master's Degree and 7 years experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience with federal government financial standards, project costing systems, and multiple overhead rates experience.
  • CPA or CIA Certification

Salary Range: $65,800 USD - $98,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $81,600 USD - $122,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
