Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.        Responsibilities for this Pipeline requisition are:  This position is a Military Veteran Program Internship opportunity to assist with System Engineering, Safety, and Quality of an ICBM trainer modification. This position description does not represent a current opening but may be used to identify candidates with skills and experience for positions within Northrop Grumman that frequently become available. Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.   Selected candidate will assist and gain experience in the following areas:
  • Assist with on-site safety of major modifications to an ICBM trainer
  • Inspect quality attributes of sub-contractor work
  • Scheduling of complex tasks and coordination efforts with multiple organizations
  • Assist with system engineering requirements throughout modification efforts
  • Assist with property management requirements
  • Assist with monitoring/evaluating sub-contractor work against applicable SOW and other contractual documents
  • Assist with hands-on technical equipment installation as required
  • Assist with other responsibilities as assigned. (e.g Security, administrative, etc)
  Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.    Responsibilities for this internship requisition position are:    Internship Description:   The Northrop Grumman Military Veteran Program (NG-MVP) is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. The NG-MVP is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training and through individual internships during the last 180 days of service. Any rank, enlisted or officer, may apply for SkillBridge. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. Your unit Commander must authorize participation in NG-MVP prior to start of internship.   NG-MVP is a program that will bridge the gap for transitioning service members and is held 3 times a year at various Northrop Grumman installations around the country. Service members will gain valuable experience and training throughout their internship with a potential opportunity to gain employment with Northrop Grumman upon completion of active duty service obligation. 

NG-MVP Eligibility: 
  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty
  • Is within 180 days of separation or retirement
  • Will receive an honorable discharge
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
  • Received Unit Commander approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge

 Basic Qualifications:    
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent 
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to receive Unit Command approval  
  • ICBM Maintenance background
  • Safety and Quality background
  • Familiar with AF AETC requirements and assets
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours
     Preferred Qualifications: 

•             Received Unit Commander’s approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge
•             Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or Management degree
•             Active Top Secret clearance completed within the last 6 years
