Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a DevOps Engineer/Software Build Manager based out of Manhattan Beach, CA. Our Team works on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems. The DevOps Engineer/ Software Build Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

·       Create and maintain the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug safe delivery of critical business software to production.

·       Set up Development, Test, and Build environments for the team

·       Work with various team members to create a product for deliveries

·       Create and update Windows installers

·       Install, test, and verify software products

·       Maintain multiple baseline repositories

·       Provide support to team members with issues relate to build and installation.

·       Define and implement software version control processes, policies, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

·       Bachelors with 2 year’s experience

·       Current DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP access

·       Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps or Build Manager

·       DevOps Experience - Demonstrated DevOps Principles

·       Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Practices

·       Experience using and managing one of these CI/CD tools: Bamboo, Jenkins

·       Knowledge and experience with AWS and/or Azure DevOps

·       Experience using and managing these DevOps tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet

·       Development experience in one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Curl

·       Experience with Containers in Docker and/or Kubernetes

·       Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following tools: GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Crucible/Fish-eye


Preferred Qualifications:

·       Has worked on the software side of the program.  Understands the build and software development process

·       Experience specifically with these tools: InstallShield, Kinook Visual Build Pro

·       Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology

·       Software testing experience

·       Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, .NET Framework, Java, C/C++

·       Expert Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning and proven Automation/Coding experience

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills

·       Current DoD Top Secret Clearance

·       Current SCI/SAP access


Salary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
