Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a motivated candidate to join the Electronics and Payloads Directorate as a Digital Hardware Verification Engineer. The selected applicant will become a pivotal part of the verification of digital designs for space applications. This position is based at our Space Park campus in Manhattan Beach, CA. Tasks include collaboration with other digital engineers to help support prototyping and testing efforts in our digital hardware labs.  The candidate will also support verification efforts including test plan development and the planning and execution of hardware demonstrations to various customers.   The qualified candidate must be an experienced digital verification and test engineer who will support applications in signal processing, network routing and switching, or embedded processors for space applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Test Plan Development
• Hardware prototyping efforts and demonstrations
• Board Integration & Test
• Unit Integration & Test
• Engineering Lab Support & Certification
• Formal Verification
• Environmental tests as required (thermal, thermal-vac, shock, vibe)

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 9 years of experience; OR 7 years of experience with a Masters (MS) degree; OR 4 years of experience with a PhD - Experience in hardware design/development or production - Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Government clearance   Preferred Qualifications: - Current active US Goverment Secret Clearance - Experience developing Electronics for spacecraft applications - Digital or Mixed signal unit, slice, board, and/or ASIC/FPGA design and development experience - Familiarity with DOORs and working with Systems Engineering - Ability to understand project schedules and coordinate across multiple program domains (supply chain, manufacturing, product engineering, …)  - Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization   Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
