Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Electronics and Payloads Directorate. The selected candidate will join the Module Assembly and Test Department based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.

In this position the selected candidate will work in a state of the art production test environment, and be assigned an area to support such as, development, engineering, test equipment design. The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, performing routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. These applications may include RF, digital, and mixed-signal type circuits and logic systems.
The selected candidate will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks. Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications. Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level. Conduct defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned. Utilize routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzers, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus.

Basic Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related electronics experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of RF/electronics test experience in an aerospace environment.Experience tuning RF electronic modules or assemblies is  highly desired. Candidate currently holds, and is able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances: •Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years •OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years •OR Dept of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
