Job Description:
Will perform Engineering Evaluation and Testing (EET) activities on military Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) / Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). Will perform initial operational certification and verification testing of common and peculiar support equipment to ensure equipment items meet the design requirements for utilization and interface with assigned aircraft. Will conduct aircraft interface form-fit-function checkout of first-article/prototype support equipment assets. Will gather source data/engineering data and will draft test documents required to execute EET test events. Will work with aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, and schedulers to coordinate test events on assigned aircraft. Will provide initial orientation guidance to maintenance team members on the utilization & operation of support equipment assets. Candidate will work on a Strike program alongside U.S. Government, U.S. Air Force, Northrop Grumman, and contractor personnel at Edwards AFB, CA and Palmdale, CA. Position will be based at Edwards AFB, CA. Required: This position is to work 2nd Shift on any of these schedules: 4/10, 5/40, or 9/80 schedule. The daily start time for 2nd Shift is flexible but will typically start between 1:00-4:00 P.M.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 7 years of AGE support equipment, aircraft maintenance, or flight line support experience. Will consider 3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree; or, 1 year of experience with a master's degree.
Understanding and experience in all facets of aircraft and/or support equipment operations.
Manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and calibrations.
Must have an in-scope, active DoD Secret Clearance with background investigation completed within last five years; with ability to maintain. Clearance required to start.
Ability to obtain Program Access within 120 days of submission. Program Access required to start.
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Can read and interpret CAD models, engineering documents, COTS manuals, etc.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Able to collaborate in a team environment
Able to work alone, with minimal supervision.
Experience with public speaking
Able to perform work in closed space during specified work hours.
Ability to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel).
Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions.
Valid Driver’s License.
Flexible & willing to work various shifts, to include weekends to support the mission as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of related logistics, support equipment operations and/or aircraft maintenance experience.
Experience in maintaining support equipment and/or aircraft platforms.
Familiar with process development and implementation.
Familiar with first article testing of support equipment.
Verifiable Aircraft Ground & Flight Test experience.
Familiarity using information systems, such as MES, FMT, CPLM, etc.
Experience with Team Center programs.
Experience briefing upper levels of management.
Classified Program Clearance (PAR briefed).
