Aerospace Structures sector is seeking a Production Planner 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Tooling organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Essential Functions:
- Support Composites Tooling teams across multiple programs.
- Use a unique skill set and hands-on approach to performing activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including planning, continuous improvement, material management, process optimization and liaison.
- Determine the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools.
- Prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements.
- Maintain progress reports, schedules, and other related records.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 4 years of related experience in composites tooling experience in aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Active in-scope DOD Secret Security Clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Special Program Access
- Experience with QTIS (Quality Tool Inspection System)
- Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership
- Experience creating work instructions and visual aids
- Experience creating procedures or process manuals
