Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager Manufacturing 2 based out of our Sunnyvale, CA campus.
What You'll get to Do:
Northrop Grumman Marines Systems specializes in the development, manufacture assembly and testing of propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. The Manager Manufacturing 2 will supervise the factory hourly Welders and support functions of high quality, low volume, large fabricated structures for the Marine Propulsion and Power Generation SBU. This position will also interface with Sr. Operations Leadership, a variety of engineering disciplines, and end customers for the products their team produces and delivers.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring all members of the team are adequately trained to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently and effectively and will lead the implementation of Lean Principles and Continuous improvement efforts in their assigned areas.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with a minimum 6 years of relevant experience. (Note: an additional 4+ years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
A minimum of 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Firm understanding of the fundamentals of MRP.
Familiarity with CAM functions.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
