Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA. The Manufacturing Analyst 2 is responsible for supporting production and manufacturing processes primarily focused on microwave assemblies.
Responsibilities include:
Provides activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, manufacturing equipment, facilities engineering, material management and process engineering. Will provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers and interact with internal and external customers. Will repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be maintaining highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to the following and other similar tasks:
•This position will require an in-depth knowledge of RF and will be responsible for facilitating Integrated Microwave assembly production for APN-241 weather radar system. As well as being part of the training and support, the individual will work the assemblies as touch labor as demand requires. Tuning and testing of these microwave assemblies requires spending a majority of the time under a microscope soldering tuning tabs to the PCB.
•Due to the critical need of these assets a strong need for reliability is required. Position is not remote and is strictly onsite. Candidate must be reliable and dependable to ensure production is maintained mitigating program schedule risk.
This position includes learning the functional environmental screening test stations, lower-level sub assembly testing and be able to provide technical support of those.
•This position requires a strong electronics background and component level troubleshooting DC and RF.
•Aid technicians in fault isolation of components.
•Aid assemblers in developing improved soldering skills.
•Working to improve soldering techniques for difficult assemblies to repair.
•Write procedures to document repair techniques in conjunction with engineering.
•Provide guidance and organize workflow as a team lead in an equipment build and fabrication setting.

•Work with assemblers to help develop soldering and repair skills, advanced and basic.
•Work with Engineering to aid in development or updating work instructions.
•Provide reporting as requested to Operations Leadership.
•Fabricate, assemble, and disassemble electronic subassemblies.•Wire circuits, replace components, and repair electronic assemblies.
•Perform test readings using several different instruments, including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters.
•Conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing.
•Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.
•Use practical electronic theory and basic tools.
Basic Qualifications:
•Candidate must have High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of electronics related work experience;
*Will also consider a candidate with an Associate degree in electronics-related field OR Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in electronics related position, AND 5+ years of relevant electronics experience OR a Bachelors Degree in electronics related field AND 3+ years of relevant electronics experience
•Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
•Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia
•Self–starter with ability to work with little to no supervision.
•Ability to follow test procedures, work instructions and other process documents.
•Must be able to collaborate in a team environment.
•Must have a strong soldering background
*Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience performing a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
•Experience working from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
•Experience conducting quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
•Experience managing workflow in an electronic assembly environment.
•Have a current Secret DoD clearance or be able secure one.
•Keysight 3070 experience
•Soldering certifications
