Northrop Grumman's Missions System Sector - headquartered in Linthicum, MD - has an immediate opening for a Planner for Equipment Maintenance Contracts to support our Manufacturing Operations.
**This position works with equipment maintenance/inventory from the administrative side, not the technical side. There is no hands-on equipment maintenance involved in this job.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Plan, direct, and manage all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and support
• Develop Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Program Plans for machinery and equipment
• Take ownership of all preventative maintenance including releasing, assigning, and closing tasks
• Prioritize equipment maintenance by understanding manufacturing needs
• Track downtime and uptime of equipment using SAP
• Parts Support - track and manage spare parts inventory and parts identification and sourcing
• Manage contracts and vendors for Preventative Maintenance activities
• Understand and differentiate in-house versus external maintenance
This position does not include hands on equipment maintenance work. The primary responsibility of this job is the administrative oversight of the preventative maintenance plans and service contracts for the equipment of each manufacturing cell. This includes working in SAP, coordinating with each Manufacturing cell, working with purchase orders, and maintaining the preventative maintenance program for each cell.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience (or Master's degree); candidates with an AA degree and 4 years of related work experience or HS Diploma/GED and 6 years will also be considered
• Experience in planning and scheduling
• SAP or other related MRP system experience
• Manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Maintenance planning and troubleshooting
• Hands on problem solving of technical design and issues
• Electrical and mechanical equipment support
• Six Sigma and Root Cause and Corrective Action support
• SAP experience
