Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector and the CIS business unit is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Mgr to oversee, execute, and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects within the Operating Unit and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, functional organizations, and line management.  This is a hybrid opportunity, which will require onsite work at our McClellan, CA facility. 

Specific duties will include:

  • Performs the role of SCRUM master for the Operating Unit’s agile business execution
  • Manages the OU Confluence space
  • Project owner and publisher for all OU data calls to include internal and external presentations
  • Collects OU weekly status and prepares weekly status reports
  • Coordinates all recuring business meetings
  • Develops plans and manages the Operating Unit’s Capital program
  • Plans and executes all Operating Unit’s special events to include employee engagement events, external audits, all hands meetings, and internal and external customer visits and meetings
  • Managing employee engagement and recognition programs, including support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Business resumption planning and emergency response

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 Years of experience with Bachelor's degree or 8 Years with Master's.
  • 14 Years of experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree requirement.
  • Experience in Airborne SIGINT
  • High-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines
  • Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority of personnel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical, and planning skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team to complete a specific scope of work
  • Experience developing proposals
  • Experience supporting DoD / government contracts or project management experience in other industries
  • Experience in technical writing and graphics

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
