Search our current job openings and join us to be at the front line of innovation.   Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Electronic Technician 3 based out of McClellan, CA, near the Sacramento area.   What You’ll get to Do:
  • Under close supervision, you will perform routine technical functions related to the support of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) activities, manufacturing testing of hardware and development engineering activities such as test and checkout of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment.
  • Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems. Guidance is readily available from superiors.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
  • Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development, manufactured and depot equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level.
  • Conducts defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned.
  • Utilizes routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus.
  • Will be assigned to ESS Laboratory activities primarily and Hardware Testing activities secondarily.
  MANUMS

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or technician experience.
  • Experience interpreting one or more of the following: technical drawings, diagrams, instructions, or schematics.
  • Experience using very basic electronic test equipment.
  • Experience with RF testing including familiarity with Network Analyzer’s and RF power meters. 
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree (including military technical training) in related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing, System Integration Laboratory (SIL) support / lab operations or integration & test.
  • Experienced in ESS operations and best practices.
  • Be able to support multiple shifts.
  • Use and maintenance of automated test fixtures
  • Knowledge of production processes and understanding of the importance of schedule.
  • Secret or higher security clearance.
