We are growing and looking to fill a vital role with a driven and skilled Contracts Administration Manager to be based out of our McLean facility or Herndon, VA office.  We are looking for a Contracts Manager who has a passion for, or expertise in, the Federal Civilian industry.
Peraton, an industry leader providing innovative solutions for space, critical Intelligence Community missions, civil solutions, health and public safety, and offensive and defensive cyber operations, is actively seeking an experienced and motivated leader supporting multi-million dollar, complex, and strategic programs within the Citizen Services Business Unit.  
The contracts professional in this position will lead a team supporting federal civilian agencies, and commercial entities. From time-to-time this person may also function as a working manager and/or an individual contributor by managing their own contract portfolio.  This position requires a high-level of accountability and responsibility. Accordingly, the ideal candidate will need to exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment, have a history of strict adherence to policies, and demonstrate a strong business acumen. 
If this sounds like you, read on! Responsibilities/Skills:
•    Lead, mentor, and guide direct-reporting team of contract professionals
•    Delegate work assignments, to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely work assignment completion
•    Manage full life-cycle contract activities, including developing, negotiating, administering, and closing out Government and commercial contracts.
•    Prepare and coordinate formal contract correspondence and ensure compliance with contract policies, procedures, and standard operating practices to provide successful proposal and contract execution.
•    Identify and work with business unit and other contract leadership to advise and resolve, and mentor complex contractual challenges, including ability to meet schedules, cost and technical requirement concerns, and requirement changes.
•    Leverage your experience to make independent assessments and guidance as it relates to the contractual problem.
•    Demonstrate your ability to meet multiple team deadlines and to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Lead internal Request for Proposal (RFP) and review meetings, contract pre-award meetings, final negotiations, and draft/finalization of contract, to include performing risk analysis of RFPs (identify risks and prepare mitigation strategies) and providing input for pricing strategies.
•    Provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members.
•    Ensure project compliance for team with government contracting requirements.
•    Analyze, prepare, review and negotiate contractual agreements such as Teaming, Non-Disclosure, Memorandum of Understandings/Memorandum of Agreements and other binding agreements as the business opportunity presents.
•     Provide advice and recommendations to Management on contractual rights/obligations and methods for change, risk, cash management, and provide strategic options and directions

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 10 years of related work experience
•    Advanced knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
•    Ability to obtain a Secret level (or higher) security clearance
•    Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
•    Must be a US citizen Desired Qualifications: 
•    Previous leadership experience and/or demonstrated success in leading, training and developing direct reports
•    Experience navigating and appropriately prioritizing day-to-day conflicting priorities potentially across a small team of contracts professionals if applicable, while keeping the individual contributors motivated, apprised of continuing changes within the organization, while maintaining compliance and managing your own portfolio of contracts. 
•    Superb organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills that are key for a successful team environment
•    Ability to independently conduct internal audits, review and analyze resulting data and develop effective reports and documentation of results
•    Familiarity with Federal civilian agencies
•    Holds an active Secret (or higher) security clearance
•    Advanced degree in business, law degree or related field of study
