The Communications organization of Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a highly skilled program communications professional to join our team in implementing dynamic communications practices. We are looking for the right candidate who has demonstrated skill in managing communications projects and supporting the execution of strategic communications plans. Areas of focus will include contributing to internal and external communications initiatives; supporting messaging and collateral creation; digital analysis and metrics management to drive informed strategy execution; and management of up-and-out and down-and-in reporting requirements.

Additional responsibilities will include:

- Supporting communications processes and operations

- Media monitoring and reporting

- Collaborating across the division for regular exchange of information to support communications objectives, share communications practices and support enterprise events

- Supporting the alignment of communications planning and execution for corporate and sector initiatives and measurement objectives

This is an ideal position for a high-energy, adventurous, self-motivated professional who is able to meet commitments and work effectively given tight turnaround times, multiple tasks and customers, shifting priorities and limited resources.

This full-time position is located in Melbourne, Florida, and reports to the Strike communications manager.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience: employee communications, public relations and/or project management—with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, business, communications, public relations or public affairs, 1 year with a master’s degree. - U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the defense industry

- Confident communicator and ability to present concepts visually - Superior organization, project management and time management skills

- Strong decision making ability and attention to detail

- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated experience in technology-based communication, web design and creation is a bonus

- Active DOD Secret Clearance updated within the last 5 years.


Salary Range: 58300 - 87500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
