Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Data as a Service (DaaS) Application Administrator.

The selected DaaS Applications Administrator researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or software tools. They are involved in planning of system and code deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Other responsibilities are evaluating interface solutions, operational requirements, characteristics of the overall system, and documenting the testing and maintenance of systems.

Primary accountabilities are associated with Application Administration of the DaaS eQube reporting (BI), integration (MI), and migration (TM) environments. Performs deployments plus support for all eQube solutions for sector programs and projects. Ensures proactive focus on details of complex deployments to ensure highly successful implementations. Able to effectively deal with challenges from the base technical perspective to the highly complex. Engage with all eQube planning activities, as required. 

Responsibilities include: 


•    Manage the configuration, installation, maintenance, and support of the eQube suite of tools.

•    Work with a team of administrators in support of Northrop Grumman programs, which will include mentoring existing and new resources, coordinating outages, and supporting the teams yearly goal planning activities.

•    Maintain the system architecture and solution configurations activities across PLM modules and integrations with other systems like DOORS, SAP, and SmartMES. 

•    Plan, test, and deploy system updates and upgrades.

•    Collaborate with Database Administrators to support any ongoing maintenance requirements.

•    Lead, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans as required 

•    Perform root cause analysis and debug problems with the Teamcenter/eQube environment and then work with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrences.

•    Perform any necessary End-user support for any of our eQube BI/MI/TM solutions. 

•    Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting eQube BI/MI/TM instances. 

•    Support System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities with business partners and end users, as required. 

•    Perform mentoring, training, or demos to end users, as required. 

•    Support business readiness and change management activities through production implementations. 

•    Develop and maintain technical, installation guidelines, and operational guideline documents. 

•    Primary locations would be Melbourne FL., or Redondo Beach CA, but virtual work will be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields and 5 years of relevant IT experience.

  • Experience with Application Administration support and incident resolution.

  • Knowledge with Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss installation/configuration. Web and J2EE performance monitoring and tuning.

  • General understanding of Software Lifecycle Process.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance or greater

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relational databases, Java, XML, JSP.

  • Proven experience working with remote team members located throughout the country.

  • Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality.

  • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.

  • Experience with the administration of eQube reporting and integration tools.


Salary Range: 108400 - 188300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
