Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Engineer Systems Test/Engineer Systems Test to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for level I and level II system verification efforts. You’ll utilize your understanding of system test to create test procedures based on Level I and Level II requirements, develop an expert understanding of your assigned subsystems, and utilize test infrastructure to dry run and execute system level verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints
  • Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems
  • Coordinates integrated testing activities
  • Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program
  • Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations

This position will require occasionally working shift work and overtime. Additionally, the nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working full time in a classified development environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas.

Basic Qualifications (Associate Engineer Systems Test):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science AND 0 years of experience
  • Must have an active DoD SECRET or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to the commencement of employment

Basic Qualifications (Engineer Systems Test):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science AND 2 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree in Science AND 0 years relevant experience.
  • Must have an active DoD SECRET or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to the commencement of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline 
  • Current and active Top Secret Clearance
  • Current and active Program Access

Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD
Salary Range 2: $64,600 USD - $97,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
