Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Level 3 Principal Facilities Estimator and Project Manager to provide support to our Aerospace Structures team. The candidate estimates and oversees facilities construction and infrastructure projects for various sites. The position is located in Melbourne, FL with partial telework available.

Essential Functions:

•Identify and quantify cost factors, such as time, materials, and labor expenses

•Collect and develop project requirements definition packages

•Manage projects from requirements development to project implementation completion

•Read blueprints and technical documents

•Visit job sites to gather information on conditions and project considerations

•Collaborate with stakeholders such as security, EHS, IT, engineers, architects, contractors and customers

•Develop and/or analyze project schedules

•Utilization of Estimating books and computer software to calculate estimates

•Development of presentation materials

•Calculate Demolished capital asset valuations

•Provide estimates to support annual operating plans and long range strategic plans

•Assure quality service by following Corporate and organization processes and standards

•Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mathematics with 5 years of experience OR a Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 0 years of experience

•Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, drawings and specifications for quantities take-off and cost estimates

•Strong Financial skills and the ability to effectively forecast project costs

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Power Point

•Experience in facilities or construction project management

•Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with Cost Estimating software and the use of construction cost data reference books

•Proficient in MS Project (schedule development)

•Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and CAFM systems

•Top Secret Clearance

•Demonstrated experience in effectively forecasting and tracking project costs

Salary Range: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
