Northrop Grumman Aeronautics has an opening for a Supply Chain Program Director 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support our advanced programs.

This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida through Q2, 2023. At the beginning of Q3 2023, the selected candidate will be required to relocate to Palmdale, California.  This position can also reside in Palmdale, California without moving to Melbourne, Florida. There are no remote/virtual accommodations for this position and will require up to 25% travel.   

The incumbent will be responsible, accountable and have the authority for the operational efficiency, strategy, planning and execution of all Global Supply Chain (GSC) material and services requirements for a Program or collection of Programs.  Acts as the main responsible, accountable and authority focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire GSC functional homeroom, supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all GSC commitments are met and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks, issues and/or opportunities related to GSC and the suppliers. Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, incorporation of make/buy plans, Risks, Issues and Opportunity action plans, integrated Affordability strategies and procurement and subcontracts strategies.

Leads GSC Program execution and is accountable and has the authority for all aspects of operational efficiencies including overall integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, affordability and supply chain issue / opportunity resolution. Presents and communicates / briefs the Sector, PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program quality, cost and schedule performance.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years (8+ years with Master’s) of experience leading supply chain program execution and/or program management including strategy, planning and execution of programs
  • Minimum of 4 years management experience with a proven record of leading multi-functional integrated product teams
  • Experience directing multi-million-dollar programs
  • Experience in aerospace/defense industry
  • An active and in-scope (within 5 years of your last Security investigation) DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Ability and willingness to reside in Palmdale, California OR Melbourne, Florida and relocate to Palmdale, California Q3, 2023.

  • Masters of Business Administration
  • Masters of Science in Supply Chain
  • International Business Experience
  • Agile training

Salary Range: $155,600 USD - $270,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
