Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Supply Chain 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Goods Movement/Logistics organization. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. The GSC Manager 3 will lead the Site from a GM&L perspective, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position reports to the GSC Goods Movement & Logistics Director for East Coast and Remote Sites in Saint Augustine, FL for the Aeronautics Systems Sector. The Manager will serve as the Goods Movement Site focal point for the GSC Program Managers, IPTs and Production Operations leadership within the Melbourne, FL AS group. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing GM strategies to support all of the appropriate programs, with focus on achieving affordability, operational efficiency, safety and first-time quality targets. Candidate responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain organization. Exhibits end-to-end supply chain competency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 5 years’ experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience; 11 or more years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • 3 or more years' experience leading a large team to effectively execute a broad statement of work
  • Experience with manufacturing and supply chain operations with demonstrated and proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
  • MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) & knowledge of SAP
  • Familiarity with MMAS/DCMA/ISO 9001 requirements
  • This position requires a current DOD Secret clearance at a minimum to begin.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in related field of study, including supply chain, logistics, etc.
  • Ability to prepare and present executive-level presentations
  • 4 or more years' proven track record building a robust team; provide people leadership, with a focus on acquiring, developing and retaining talent; respectful of others & understand and embrace the value of an inclusive team; empower each team member to perform at the highest level of productivity; be empathetic and listen for understanding
  • Proven ability to set a vision; assess external and internal factors to determine long-term business direction; create strategies that shape the future and inspire the team, resulting in sustainable value and performance; critical thinking
  • Proven ability to lead with courage; make bold moves, willingness to speak up and to take on new challenges; take calculated risks, with appropriate mitigation plans; self-aware, transparent and authentic; seek feedback from others
  • Proven ability to act with speed; understand the need for urgency to meet the needs of the business and stakeholders; decisive, drive timely decision-making; empower others with clear accountability and appropriate support
  • Experience as an accomplished problem-solver and change-agent whose unique mix of technical and business expertise lends itself to developing innovative Supply Chain strategies

Salary Range: $125,700 USD - $188,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
