Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Manager specializing in efficient execution of multiple projects to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Strike Strategic Development organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

The Project Manager will work directly with the Strategic Development program operations team to manage projects, aspects of the strategic operations rhythm and programmatic implementation support. In this role, you will be developing and managing multiple team projects and preparing status reports. You will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. You will develop tools and methodologies for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers.  You will create templates for presentations and documents and assist authors with document preparation to ensure quality and consistency across team deliverables.  The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.  Success will require attention to detail and emphasis on high-quality deliverable products

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating processes and process changes to impacted stakeholders
  • Backlog management on behalf of team leadership
  • Metrics development, reporting, and upkeep
  • Interfacing with functional roles for staffing and forecasting
  • Ensuring consistent, predictable team progress to weekly, monthly, and annual goals

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in Project Management OR a master’s degree with 1+ years of experience in Project Management 
  • Experience in one or more of the following specialized skills: Project Management, Agile Team Management, Technical Communications.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher-level clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with JIRA or other agile process management tools
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees and management (Directors/VPs)
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance OR SCI access
  • Current Special Active Program (SAP) access

Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
