Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Category Management Integration/Project Management to support our Global Supply Chain Category Management Integration team in Melbourne, Florida.

The Category Management Integration proactively supports work with programs to understand future demand across categories and provide input to category management activities. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients

This individual will have the opportunity to be a part of establishing/leading a new team, creating the ground floor culture and brand to the AS Global Supply Chain Category Management team. In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Engage engineering to understand engineering change requirements and future requirements changes and communicate opportunities to CM strategy
  • Ability to understand engineering practices and work within the technology arena to further the connection between the technology roadmaps and Global Supply Chain
  • Understand and communicate cost objectives with programs and Sector
  • Support category management team on integrating with compliance, terms and conditions, and processes
  • Support sector initiatives/ special projects as required (e.g., forecasting, continuous improvement)
  • Interfacing and collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain
  • Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives
  • The preferred candidate should possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized, as well as being an Excel power user.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years’ experience in Business, Program Management, or Supply Chain
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARs and terms and conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building teams, interacting with multifunctional roles/dept
  • Leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
  • Budgeting experience and EVM knowledge
  • Solid understanding of engineering/technical requirements

Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $114,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
