Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management / Senior Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation Organization. This is not a remote position, and will require work on the premises in our Melbourne, FL facility.

In this role, you will be required to improve your knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. You should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. In addition, you must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Basic Qualifications (Principal Project Management):

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 6 years of related experience OR Master’s degree AND 4 years of related experience OR 11 years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance prior to the commencement of employment
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain program access (SAP/PAR)
  • Must have the ability to travel 10% to support West Coast operations

Basic Qualifications (Sr. Principal Project Management):

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 10 years of related experience OR Master’s degree AND 8 years of related experience OR 15 years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain program access (PAR)
  • Must have the ability to travel 10% to support West Coast operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active secret or top secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years)
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Intermediate to advance skills with Microsoft Office tool suite
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
  • Familiarity with the Integrated Management Framework (IMF)
  • Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
  • SharePoint experience

Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $89,800 USD - $134,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
