In this role, the Manager Program Planner will develop key program definition products that fulfill program requirements (RFP/SOW) and achieve program objectives. Primary responsibilities will be to lead the development of the Integrated Master Plan (IMP).  This program management position requires collaboration with multiple IPTs and functional representatives to define the program planning process and build a program planning team charged with defining and documenting Major Program Events (MPEs), Significant Accomplishments (SAs) and accomplishments criteria (ACs) in accordance with related, RFP instruction and/or contract requirements with linkage to SOW and WBS elements.  This role requires interface and collaboration with capture leadership to ensure plans support capture and execution strategies. This role will also collaborate with functional organizations to develop process narratives if required.  In addition to Program Plan & IMP development, the selected candidate will also be responsible for working with the Schedule Management Manager to ensure program milestones and development timelines are accurately represented in the IMS, as well as ensuring IMP & Milestone changes are communicated to the Schedule Management Manager.   The successful candidate will have experience as a program manager, IPT leader, or other technical leader on a development program and have experience in coordinating with the program’s scheduler in the development of  IMP. The preferred candidate will have participated in more than one phase of a development program and/or in such a role on a major proposal effort or on a large development program. The candidate will have experience leading a multi-discipline team, which may include product development, test, and production SMEs. This position reports to the Capture Execution Director and supports the Program Manager.

Basic Qualifications: •             Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) related field and 12+ years Demonstrated experience in engineering  within defense, aerospace, and/or military aviation programs, or 10+ years with a Masters Degree. •             Knowledge of MS Office suite, to include MS Excel (report/chart/graph) and MS Project is needed. •             Experience participating in proposals, coordinating mitigation plans for risk & opportunities management, as well as process management. •             Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.   Preferred Qualifications: •             The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a STEM related field and experience in Systems, Project, or      Aerospace Engineering, with  demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity as a manager. •             Experience in a leadership position on a major capture program •             Top Secret Clearance   Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
