General Overview:

Develop and implement product specific quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

Specific Tasks:

DCMA oversight support to include:

  • Pre-source inspection paperwork audits
  • DCMA process audit preparation
  • Available as main POC for all DCMA audits/source inspections
  • Gather evidence and provide responses for all DCMA CARs

Coordinating/performing workstation audits at the range facility:

  • Plan/schedule audits and assigned auditors
  • Document/report findings and CARs as needed
  • Continue to develop and expand workstation audit program

Range Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Support

  • Support action owners to aide in swift and effective closeout of actions
  • Coordinate timely and thorough follow up on effectiveness of all actions
  • Work closely with corrective action board coordinator

Assembly First Article Inspection Coordination

  • Ensure shop orders reflect first article requirements determined by program quality engineering
  • Work with programs/operations to determine FAIR priority for inspectors
  • Manage/track progress of all in process and upcoming FAIRs

Minimum Requirements:

  • 15 years in a quality/mission assurance role (years of degree can be substituted for years of experience)
  • 10 years experience with first articles in accordance with AS9102
  • 10 years in a manufacturing/assembly environment
  • Must have experience with DCMA source inspections and audits
  • Must have experience with government contracts
  • Will consider 6 years of experience with a Bachelors Degree

Preferred Requirements:

  • 20+ years in a quality/mission assurance role
  • Experience auditing to AS9100 standard
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR requirements
  • Experience with armament products
  • Experience creating in process/final inspection criteria

Salary Range: 72400 - 108600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
