We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Weapon Systems facility in Mesa, AZ. This position requires application of Electrical Engineering practices to all phases of military programs for weapon systems application, including:

Performs research, design, and development in such areas as cabling/harness design, power conditioning electronics, motor controller design, digital circuit design, and other general electrical engineering design functions.

Applies research to the planning, design, development and testing of electrical circuits for use in military applications.

Is capable of generating design schematics, preferably with experience using schematic capture CAD tools. Additionally, is capable at performing circuit simulations and analysis.

Is capable of using common test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multi-meters and more specialized equipment like data acquisition systems.

Develops specifications for and performs selection of components for use in electrical circuits for military applications.

Compiles, post-processes, and analyzes test data acquired from various sources to determine effects of design on electrical circuits for military applications.

Possesses strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a development team, to understand system level interdependencies that affect requirements and design constraints.

Presents project technical status to internal management and customers.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on education and/or experience.

Basic Qualifications for Associate EE:

  • Requires a minimum BSEE or an MSEE from an accredited college.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to cross functional team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing, short turn-around environment.
  • Position may require occasional travel to meet with various customers, in both government and industry, and to interface with suppliers.

Basic Qualifications for EE:

  • Includes all of the above in addition to at least 3 years of electrical engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design experience in the areas of cabling/harness design, motor controllers, motors, solenoids, and PWB/CCA design and evaluation.
  • Experience in developing high reliability electronics for military applications.
  • Experience in integration, qualification, and testing related to military applications.
  • Familiar with MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Familiar with brushed/brushless motors and brushed/brushless motor controllers.
  • Familiar with testing requirements and data-post processing (in Excel, Matlab, or Python).

Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
