Job Summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Quality Analyst 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Northridge, CA location supporting the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. Qualified candidates must work as part of a team, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, possess the ability to plan ahead and be customer- support focused. Individuals must also have demonstrated ability to evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
This position is full-time on site. Relocation may be available, but not guaranteed.
Responsibilities include:
- Support implementation of preventive and/or corrective actions and continuous improvements
- Support and facilitate various meetings, such as Corrective Action Boards and Material Review Boards
- Provide administrative support for quality management system (TipQA)
- Maintain process, production, and audit documentation
- Collect, update and analyze metrics
- Audit compliance to requirements, both internal and external
- Support processing of nonconforming hardware
- Provide support to various other organizations (i.e. Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, Material Management, etc.) to address program issues/concerns and to ensure requirements are achieved
- Other duties, as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience with Quality Assurance or related field; or a Masters degree and one year of experience in Quality Assurance or related field.
- General knowledge of AS9100 standards
- Experience reviewing data, specifications, and standards
- Experience creating and reviewing technical documents
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications
- Strong analytical, testing, and problem-solving skills
- Very effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, U.S citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Quality auditing experience
- AS9100 auditor certification/experience
- Functional knowledge and experience with TipQA, Costpoint, MES
