Northrop Grumman is in search of a lead Calibration Technician at our Warner Robins, GA campus. As the lead, you would be responsible for managing the workflow and calibration of approximately 1,500 assets.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include leading the calibration team for efforts such as calibrating electronic test measuring equipment, signal generating equipment, and proprietary equipment to conform to set standards. Sets up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed procedures, specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. You will be empowered to help modernize/develop test procedures for Northrop designed and maintained equipment items/test fixtures. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment. Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of calibration lab.
Experience managing and/or leading teams.
Experience calibrating electronic Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment.
Experience in a high energy/fast-paced metrology environment with good computer and communication skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years or more management experience.
Familiar with ISO17025 or ANSI Z540-1
Knowledge with usage of various Measuring and Test Equipment Calibration Standards.
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) theory and calibration practices.
Military Metrology training/education
Capable computer skills and experience with using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge to design formulas and macros
Knowledge of electronic equipment, troubleshooting concepts, and the ability to isolate issues down to the board level.
Active Secret Clearance.
