Northrop Grumman is seeking a Flight Simulation Trainer, Tactical Command and Control  C2  Specialist, for the Virtual Test and Training Center. The location of this position is at Nellis AFB, NV. The qualified candidate will facilitate the daily execution of Large Force Employment (LFE) and Small Team events for the Virtual Test and Training Center (VTTC).


Responsibilities include facilitating the VTTC’s support of daily USAF Weapons School virtual training through scheduling, scenario development, mission materials, brief, execution and debrief support for Large Force Employment (LFE) and Small Team events. The candidate may attend exercise planning conferences, meetings and site visits to gain a better understanding unit training requirements.

To accomplish these unit training requirements he/she will develop the executable Computer Generated Forces (CGF) scenarios, mission materials and briefs for the diverse aircrew training audience. Execution of the VTTC missions while acting as the white force. He/she will assist the VTTC Mission Director in regulating the flow of timely injects throughout the training event.

Candidate may provide specialized planning and/or execution expertise in specialized phases of military training exercises--including doctrinal development, scenario development, after action review and data analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Active secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and SAP/SAR.

2. Minimum of 6 years of USAF Tactical C2 experience

3. Experienced Weapons Director/Air Battle Manager/Fighter Pilot

4. Must be a graduate of the USAF Weapons School

5. Must possess thorough knowledge of AFTTP 3-1 guidance.

6. Operationally relevant experience within past 10 years. (simulator instructor experience will be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • USAF Weapons School Instructor
  • Mission Commander and/or Instructor
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI/SAP/SAR
  • Experience with Combat Air Forces DMO exercises and simulations

Salary Range: $135,400 USD - $203,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
