Northrop Grumman require support with the management of assets in relation to procurement and production activities.  This role will inspect, allocate, track and monitor project assets from entry into the business, storage and issue to third parties.

The role will be required to have a clear understanding and working knowledge of stock control, allowing levels to be monitored via an ERP system and to carry out the booking in and out of components when required enabling full visibility at any given stage.

Key Responsibilities        

  • Track stock items / inventory and create reports on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring that project components are correctly loaded into ERP, prior to any procurement activities.
  • Ensuring that bills of materials (BOMS) are extant and current.
  • Raising project demands within the ERP system to allow the procurement of items by Supply Chain.
  • Goods-in inspection co-ordination with Quality Assurance Team.
  • Internal stock movement co-ordination (including allocation of stock to project, storage, picking, kitting and delivery.
  • Perform inventory analysis including but not limited to consumption, forecasting and rationalisation.
  • Report on supplier delivery performance which includes but is not limited too
  • Co-ordination and management of the issue of components to NGs customers and subcontractors.
  • Support Hardware build configuration control activities through:
  • Capture of build state records for each equipment item,
  • Ensuring equipment items are securely controlled.

General Operational duties

  • Remain compliant with all applicable processes and procedures
  • Other work as reasonably required.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications / experience 

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience in inventory control in a manufacturing/MRO/engineering environment.
  • Previous experience with MRP systems – MSD/SAP preferred.
  • Excel skills (Pivots, formulae) [to enable analysis and action of material consumption]
  • Good attention to detail
  • Organised, adept at workload management and prioritising appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and responsive to changing priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with all audiences/stakeholders
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Positive attitude and ethos of continuous improvement
  • Understanding of data integrity in an ERP context

Preferred qualifications / experience 

  • Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar qualification
  • Configuration Asset Management background
  • Engineering knowledge.

  • Travel requirements: Regular UK travel may be required to attend team/supplier meetings and training activities
