Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Field Engineering Services Manager 1 based out of Warner Robbins AFB, Langley AFB, Beale AFB.

What You’ll get to Do:

The Field Engineering Services Manager 1 will manage an on-site team providing varied engineering support to a program in the following locations:

  • Warner Robbins AFB, GA;
  • Langley AFB, VA
  • Beale AFB, CA
  • Hickam AFB, HI
  • Other locations TBD

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of 10+ Field Engineer direct reports
  • Interact with internal program leadership and customers on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and provide guidance and oversight to the employees
  • Provide on-site support as needed to include:
  • Product troubleshooting and repair as necessary on Cisco devices.
  • Assist and support visiting engineering teams installing software
  • Perform cyber patching, anti-virus updates and other Cyber related activities on the products
  • Support customer needs as required
  • Perform On-Call maintenance activities on a rotating basis
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance, reliability, and security of the system including installing, upgrading, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration
  • Fulfilling functional manager roles to help foster and maintain high levels of engagement among their own team
  • Performing functional manager roles and responsibilities (i.e. staffing, recruiting, timecard approval, performance reviews, etc.)
  • Support Career Development of current talent among team members

The successful candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to challenge the status quo. This individual must have proven leadership and excellent communication skills as well as a leader in change management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - 12 Years' Experience or Master's Degree - 9 Years' Experience
  • Must currently possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Must posses DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or greater
  • Previous manager/supervisor experience required
  • Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior AF DCGS Experience to include military GEOINT and SIGINT domains to include U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) architectures

Salary Range: 83700 - 138700

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
