Reporting to the Sr Manager of Mechanical Engineering, the Mechanical Analysis Manager will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic goals and objectives as applicable to Mechanical Analysis to support business objectives. The role will ensure mechanical analysis projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and procedures.

Success in this role will reflect extensive experience and judgment in order to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coach and develop staff by providing an environment that encourages ongoing professional growth. Ensure staff receives the appropriate training and skill development opportunities to be successful in their roles.

Provide support to the Sr Manager on mechanical analysis issues. Assist in the development of plans to resolve issues.

Participate in mechanical analysis process improvement initiatives to ensure alignment of operations initiatives.

Act as a resource to the department staff by providing guidance, interpretation, training and key input regarding operating procedures and processes.

Provide resources for proposals; participate in proposal writing as needed.

Provide input to the mechanical engineering department budget.

Work with the Sr Manager and Program Management to ensure programs are adequately and appropriately staffed.

Perform Structural or Thermal Analyses on Advanced Weapon Systems and write reports.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

2. Extensive Structural or Thermal analysis experience.

3. Experience in leading personnel.

4. 14+ years of mechanical engineering experience.

5. Experience writing processes for Mechanical Analysis.

6. Experience using Structural or Thermal analysis tools.

7. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Gov't Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Masters Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

2. Experience selecting and working with materials for high temperature applications.

3. Experience in program leadership.

4. Experience working in the Defense Industry.

5. Experience estimating tasking and writing Basis of Estimates for Proposals.

6. Current/active Secret clearance.

Salary Range: 130500 - 195700

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
