We are seeking highly motivated and confident individuals who are experienced on the EA-18G platform and can execute tasking / job requirements of an Aircraft Mechanic.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the abilities to perform troubleshooting, installation, operation, maintenance, modification and repairs to the EA-18G.  The ideal candidate should also be able to perform limited structural modifications and possess a working knowledge of the aircraft’s electrical systems.  Must follow strict adherence to DOD, manufacturer, company, and supplier directives and publications. Ability to keep up with a fast-paced and aggressive work schedule, while complying with all Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and CDC safety and health practices.     Duties:
  • Able to use Daily deck and related publications to perform daily and turnaround inspections on aircraft.
  • Must have basic understanding of the theory of operation of the fuel and hydraulic systems on the EA-18G platform.
  • Able to participate in Aircraft Towing evolutions, including driving, directing, wing-walking, brake-riding, and chock-walking.
  • Participate and understand the importance of Tool Control and FOD Program. Identifying any potential safety issues and clearly communicating with team members and shop floor Lead/Supervisor.
  • Able to correctly and accurately service aircraft with nitrogen, engine oil, and hydraulic fluid.
  • Able to participate in Aircraft Weight and Balance measurements.
  • Able to safely participate in Aircraft Jacking evolutions.
  • Able to assist teammates in other various Power plant, Airframe, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), and mechanical duties.
  • Must be familiar with the operation of all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used on the F/A-18 platform, i.e. Tow Tractor, Tow Bar, External Hydraulic Pressure Cart, Nitrogen Servicing Cart.
  • Must be able to clearly document maintenance, and repair actions, as well as correctly tagging and labeling removed parts in accordance with established Procedures.
  • Must be familiar with basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, calibrated tools, and measuring tools. As well as having the mechanical aptitude to use them correctly on the job.
  • Able to perform any other duties as directed by manager, or team lead for the benefit of the company.
 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 4 years on EA-18G platform
  • Completion of either Airframe or Power plant training on related systems in a military or civilian schooling setting.
  • Must be able to obtain a secret DoD security clearance with ability to maintain that clearance for continued employment
  • Able to perform any other duties as directed by manager, or team lead for the benefit of the company.
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • U.S. Navy or USMC background
  • Active Secret DoD clearance
