This position will be located at Ogden, UT and will support the Ground Subsystems Support Contract (GSSC) program. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is a global provider of innovative, cost effective solutions. From sustainment and modernization, supply chain management, training and simulation, and high technology services, we offer a full-spectrum of support.   The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) team supporting the Air Force’s sustainment, of hardware, software, and system modifications for the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) in Wing Command Posts, Missile field Launch Control Centers (LCCs) and associated infrastructure and depot equipment and facilities. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers. Is responsible for directing sustainment engineering, testing, logistics and maintenance projects in support of the SACCS Program Office at Hill AFB, UT.  The candidate must be skilled at conflict resolution and work closely with the engineering and training staff and various government customers to provide quality products and services to our customers.   What you’ll get to do: 
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management to a team of engineers, technicians, trainers working engineering/training tasks in support of sustaining the SACCS network
  • Assure the organization is properly staffed, trained, and certified to meet current and future program demands
  • Work closely with SACCS government program management and engineering staff to provide excellent customer support
  • Develop technical excellence in the organization, build and foster teamwork, and encourage cooperation within and across functional organizations
  • Resolve conflicting needs in customer demands within and between organizations
  • Manage multiple program priorities on engineering deliverables and effectively lead the organization in meeting and delivering to committed items

  This position may have a 9/80 work schedule available. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   UTSpace GBSDJobs

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with ICBM weapon system and personnel management
  • Background in ICBM communication systems architecture
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Dynamic personality for customer interactions
