This Project Management position will support the B-2 Tailpipes Assemblies Program Manager, the B-2 Tailpipes Integrated Product Team (IPT) and individual Project Leaders/Responsible Engineers (PLs/REs) on projects managed by the B-2 Tailpipes IPT. Project Management (position) duties include supporting all aspects of project execution which may include, but is not limited to the following events/tasks/actions: analyzing, developing, planning, tracking, and reporting on technical requirements; system integration, systems integrations lab (SIL), ground and flight testing; data creation and verification/validation; airworthiness certification, system safety, risk, and reliability/maintainability, and supportability; analyses and requirements development may be performed at all levels/stages of project execution to include system/product concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. This Project Management (position) will help lead the AFT Liner Spares (ALS) project and various project teams and will provide direct support to the PL/RE regarding managing, tracking, and reporting cost, schedule, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees/manages the operational aspects of assigned projects; serves as the liaison between Program Manager, and the PL/RE and/or project/B-2 Tailpipes IPT management

  • Reviews, analyzes, manages, and prepares documents and data for assigned projects; relevant areas include budget; schedule, and status reporting; documents/data creation includes, but is not limited to: PowerPoint slides, meeting agendas, detailed/accurate, meeting minutes, reports, etc.

  • Proactively assesses/identifies project issues and develop solutions/resolution actions to meet schedule, productivity, quality, and customer-aligned goals and objectives

  • Develops mechanisms and processes to monitor project progress, intervention and problem-solving actions for PLs/REs, project managers, line managers, and customers

  • Supports proposal development/capture planning and strategic planning

  • Develops and nurtures customer relationships and customer intimacy

  • Develops, manages, and utilizes MS Project, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS); assertively promote adherence to each project’s IMS

 Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of project management experience or a Master’s degree with 1 year of project management experience supporting Aerospace, Department of Defense, and/or Government contracts

  • Must be able to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

  • Must have the ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization with excellent presentation skills

  • Must meet requirements to work Government-funded contracts

  • Must be a US Citizen and have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)

  • Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Experience working engineering projects (e.g., design, manufacturing, reverse-engineering, test, etc.)

  • Highly experienced using Microsoft (MS) Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Project

  • Ability, once acclimated, to perform tasks autonomously with minimal oversight/supervision

  • Experience using the following Web applications/Software programs: SharePoint; Teamcenter, Cradle, etc.

  • Experience managing risk to include, but not limited to, development/identification of risks, development/management of mitigation actions, Return to Green (RTG) plans, etc.

  • Experience scheduling cross functional activities

  • Experience with earned value management

  • Experience working with the US Department of Defense, US Air Force and/or the aerospace industry

  • Background in military/commercial aerospace to include, but not limited to, aviator, aircraft operations, aircraft/equipment maintenance; Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Engineer [jet or turboprop rating], FAA airframe and power plant (A&P) license; Aircraft maintenance Technician (AMT) certification

  • Experience and detailed knowledge of Air Force Technical Orders (e.g., System, Commodity, inspection, repair, and overhaul, Illustrated Parts Breakdown, etc.)

  • Experience/knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, etc.

Salary Range: 55800 - 83600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
