At Northrop Grumman, our values support our ability to deliver on our shared purposes.  If you are a leader who leads with innovation, strategic thought, doing the right thing, does what is promised and is committed to shared success, then we encourage your candidacy for our Manager of Contracts (CM3) position.   We are seeking a highly qualified, strong leader to influence and enable the strategic direction of the Strike & Special Mission Aircraft (S&SMA) Business Unit Contracts team headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK.   The candidate selected will be a direct report to the Global Sustainment and Modernization Division Director of Contracts & Property and will support the S&SMA Business Unit and Vice President.

This position will be located in either Oklahoma City, OK or Middle River, MD and will support the S&SMA Business Unit. The Contracts Manager (CM3) is responsible for a wide range of activities to include leading all contracts and property policies and ensuring knowledge development of the team.  This position requires regular interaction with executive management at the Business Unit, Division, Sector and Corporate levels, plus the customer base.   The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to: 

  • Lead an engaging geographically dispersed team (Oklahoma City, OK, Middle River, MD, Huntsville, AL, etc.) with a varied portfolio of contract types for multiple customers

  • Provide trusted and valued advice and guidance on contractual matters and business aspects in general in support of Business Unit and Division achievement of goals

  • Develop highly effective customer relations (both internal and external stakeholders)

  • Possess excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. 

  • Increase efficiency by adapting best practices and advocating for a new technology/process to improve team performance

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position emphasizes skills and experience.  Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 19 years of applied experience.

  • Will also consider:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years applied experience in a related field

  • Master’s Degree with a minimum of 13 year applied experience in a related field

  • Strong technical contracts background to include proposal development and negotiation skills

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams that will achieve success through a strong culture of early engagement, internal collaboration and critical thinking

  • Ability to lead meetings with government regulatory organizations

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance

  • Experience leading teams, including cross-functional/cross-organization teams.

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Contractor Logistics Services (CLS) contracting experience

  • Global contractual experience with international direct commercial sales pursuits and contract awards

  • Active US Secret Security clearance

  • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)

  • Government Property Management experience

  • MS/MA/MBA/JD

Salary Range: $115,600 USD - $173,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
