Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for an Engineering Manager 3 (Agile Product Owner) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position can be filled in Oklahoma City, OK or Redondo Beach, CA depending upon the selected candidate’s preference. This position will be responsible for working with an integrated product team (IPT) structure to perform technical planning, design, execution, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for the Systems Engineering within the Weapon System Support Center (WSSC) at Tinker AFB, OK. 

Responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

  • An Agile Change Agent, tailoring and bringing Agile development principles to teams new to Agile Execution.
  • Product owner, managing the backlog of multiple scrum teams.
  • Working with customers and stakeholders to refine and prioritize the back log.
  • Experience as CAM, can manage discreet work packages, and LOE packages through Agile techniques
  • Familiar with JIRA or other agile tool sets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to lead multifunction teams and inspire continuous improvement and organic innovation
  • Generates a respectful and trusting team environment.
  • Familiarity with automated and continuous build, testing, integration approaches.
  • Able to achieve defect free deliveries on schedule.
  • Must be comfortable briefing Government and Northrop Grumman leadership on technical progress, risks, issues, and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

•     Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 10 years of related experience; Master’s Degree in STEM with 8 years of related experience; OR PhD in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related experience.

•     Successful experience in planning, risk management, and/or project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality.

•     Understanding of the application and development of functional and physical architectures, interfaces, and requirements in large systems.

•     Experience building, supporting, or executing IMS Schedules

•     Current in-scope active final DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR). This PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

•     Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 10 years of experience or PhD with 7 years of experience.

•     Successful experience in modernization or sustainment planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality

•     Proven experience in managing teams, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy.

•     Logistics/Sustainment experience in a military environment

•     Experience in developing and managing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large technical services-type contract.

•     Preference in knowledge / experience of B-2 operational CONOPS

•     Successful experience in major agile software programs

•     Current DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

•     Active B-2 technical experience and program clearances

Salary Range: $139,900 USD - $256,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
