Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Sr. Principal Program Manager to join our B-2 Supplier Management Team (SMT) of qualified, diverse individuals in the Development Operational Unit. This position may be located in Oklahoma City, OK or Palmdale, CA.

The Supplier Program Manager (PSM) will have cost, schedule, and technical responsibility for a key B-2 supplier effort in the Development Operational Unit.  The PSM will lead the Supplier Management Team (SMT), consisting of Engineering, Subcontracts, Business Management, and Quality to ensure successful execution of the supplier effort.

Key responsibilities of this role:

  • Oversee and manage supplier execution to the plan 
  • Create project plans, including project schedules and budgets
  • Integrate requirements vertically and horizontally across the project to ensure successful execution
  • Brief Northrop Grumman management and Air Force customers on project status
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Work with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional departments
  • Participate in contract negotiations and contract changes as required

The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions.  The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 10 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project management, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project management OR 14 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project management in lieu of degree.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance as well as Special Program Access (PAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
  • Current Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Extensive experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
  • Experience managing Fixed Price supplier contracts
  • Master’s Degree in a technical or business related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Oklahoma City, OK salary range: $85,000 - $127,600

Palmdale, CA salary range: $103,900 - $155,900


Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
