Our Defense System sector is seeking a Principal Logistics Analyst to join our growing team in the 848th Supply Chain Maintenance Group (SCMG) at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Your work will involve supporting a number of efforts and tasks to include, material forecasting, supportability, and logistics analysis to detect demand triggers in a timely manner and to develop and process a Demand Data Exchange submission to ensure supportability outside lead-time based on inputs from the organic staff, key details related to changes in the end item programs, and projected engineering changes affecting the end item configuration and repair procedures.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provides forecast and supportability analysis and determines if required need for consumable assets (on end items managed by the 848 SCMG) is higher than Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) forecasted demand plan

  • Detects demand triggers affecting 848 SCMG managed parts

  • Conducts research, provides solutions and answers to questions, work Exceptions from the DLA and the Planning for DLA managed Consumables (PDMC) Flight, and assists DLA Demand Planners in forecasting usage when required by the Government

  • Coordinates with Equipment Specialists (ES) and Maintenance Planners to update replacement percentages in G005M Depot Maintenance Material Support System with numbers provided by the relevant ES and/or Maintenance Planner

  • Assists Government personnel in updating supply demand requirements with the Source of Repair and DLA-managed parts required in building an applicable end item managed by the 848 SCMG

  • Compares Bills of Materials (BOMs) to Technical Orders and the illustrated parts list and maintains G005M planning BOMs for the 848th SCMG

  • Maintains the 848 SCMG Planning BOM, to include updating changes and corrections to invalid cost codes, quantities per assembly, replacement percentages, and additions, deletions, and replacements of stock numbers

  • Assists Logistics Management Specialists in analyzing requirements and obtains proper documentation related to asset supportability for organic repair workloads

  • Provides root cause analysis and solutions on system issues that negatively impact US Air Force supply chain performance related to 848 SCMG managed assets

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of directly related work experience. An additional 4 yrs of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement

  • Working knowledge of Depot Supply Chain Management processes, knowledge and experience working management of contract repair assets, knowledge/experience with shop-process, workflow, defense logistics support, and quality assurance requirements related to U.S. Air Force / military supply system processes and procedures

  • Knowledge reading and/or interpreting engineering drawings

  • A working understanding of government aircraft maintenance and supply processes/systems

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance upon hire and access work on-site at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in US Air Force Logistics

  • Experience with reading and understanding technical data (e.g., Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, Engineering Specifications, etc.)

  • Functional use of Microsoft products (e.g., Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Experience, understanding, and ability to mine, analyze, sort, and filter,  data and information from Government Supply Chain Legacy Systems (e.g., D035, Stock Control System; D043, Air Force Interchangeability and Substitution System;  D200)

  • Requirements Management System; FEDMALL; G005M, Depot Maintenance Material Support System; Repair Forecast Model (RFM); and Logistics Installations and Mission Support – Enterprise View (LIMS-EV suite)


Salary Range: $62,300 USD - $93,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $0 USD - $77,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
