Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks an experienced Configuration/Data Manager (CDM) for a fast-paced, growing and dynamic position to support our Ground Satellite Communications Systems (GSCS) Operating Unit (OU) located in Orlando, Florida. Northrop Grumman is an industry leader in developing, integrating, and sustaining complex systems for the US Department of Defense.

Responsibilities

As a CDM Employee, you will primarily support the implementation of Data Management (DM) activities using our Product Data Management (PDM) tools (SharePoint, and JIRA). Data Management (DM) is a critical program support discipline that plans, acquires, and provides stewardship for all product and product-related business and technical data, consistent with requirements, throughout the product and data life cycles. DM is a comprehensive technical and management process that establishes and implements processes for data identification, definition, acquisition, preparation, control, dissemination, disposition, and archiving.

Essential Functions:

  • CDRL/SDRL Management –Develop and maintain CDRL/SDRL delivery schedules. Coordinate with team members to complete peer reviews, provide inputs, and communicate deadlines. Ensure contract deliverables are provided to the customer on time, adhere to contract requirements, and are of high quality. Maintain and report delivery metrics to program management. Perform contract and proposal reviews to identify Data Requirements and schedules in line with the Program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Documentation Formatting - Ensure program documentation adheres to internal standards, formatting requirements, and contract authorization. Ensure correct and complete markings on all documentation. Apply and track control numbers or other identifiers as required.
  • Data Handling – Baseline and manage program documentation in the program document libraries, maintain SharePoint libraries and folder structures, media burning, file scanning, and file uploading.
  • Data Entry – Input data into configuration management tool systems, ensure complete and accurate records, facilitate the correction of any errors or missing data.
  • Communication – Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Other - Provide other functional support as assigned to assist the execution of program management, engineering, and configuration management activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years or more of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree OR 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient skill level working with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Familiarity with the configuration and data management processes
  • Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Candidate should be detail oriented, highly motivated, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with configuration, administration, design, and implementation of SharePoint sites
  • Experience with Configuration PLM tools, Subversion, and JIRA
  • Ability to manage priorities to support program milestones
  • Ability to handle multiple high priority tasks

    Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
