Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Principal Manufacturing Analyst/ Manufacturing Analyst to join our team in Palmdale, CA

Job Description

  • Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, and process reengineering.
  • Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.
  • Develops and implements plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestones.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Provides capacity planning, shop-loading and staffing analysis for functional production teams.
  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
  • Analyzes existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance

Basic Qualifications: Principal Manufacturing Analyst

  • Bachelor’s Degree 6 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 4 years of experience in Planning / Scheduling/ Process development in Aerospace/ Military maintenance and or manufacturing environment  
  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance that has been investigated within the last 5 years
  • 3 years of experience working with Excel
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access

Basic Qualifications: Manufacturing Analyst

  • Bachelor’s Degree 3 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 1 years of experience in Planning / Scheduling/ Process development in Aerospace/ Military maintenance and or manufacturing environment  
  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance that has been investigated within the last 5 years
  • 3 years of experience working with Excel
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering, or Mathematical)
  • Experience in Composites and Coatings Application
  • Auto Cad software experience
  • Solid modeling design skills (e.g., NX Siemens, CATIA, Solid Works)
  • Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in meeting customer requirements/expectations
  • Experience with CBA/ROI analysis and justifications
  • Project / Program Management skills (proposal creation, scheduling, budget tracking)

Salary Range: 68100 - 102100
Salary Range 2: 83800 - 125800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
